RMSS 2012 - Coordinator Positions

Duties for RMSS 2012 are broken into three divisions: Operations, Logistics & Finance.
Each of those divisions into areas where we need specific coordinators.

What we need are volunteers to coordinate each of the three divisions besides each of the subdivisions.
Descriptions of the subdivision duties have not changed since last year and can be found in last year’s posting on this forum. The only one that has changed is the merging of Artwork & Merchandise Coordinator.

The idea behind breaking each coordinator into divisions is that way as director I only need to directly interface with the division head and then they coordinate directly with the subdivisions under them.

For Operations:

Registration Tent Coordinator
create sign-up lists
establish hours of operation
ensure tent is staffed
train tent staff
check Material Inventory taken to field
Create Registration Manual
create displays for items that are for sale

Speaker Coordinator
solicit speakers
schedule speakers
plan rainy night events
send schedule to chairperson
Ensure projectors are working
check Material Inventory taken to field
introduce each speaker
set up prior to each speaking engagement
secure equipment after each engagement

ATM Judge Coordinator
solicit assistants for judging
coordinate creation of award certificates
coordinate judging
fill out certificates
build slideshow on winners/entries
announce winners

Photo Judge Coordinator
solicit assistants for judging
coordinate creation of award certificates
schedule photo submissions
gather photos during the event
coordinate judging
fill out certificates
build slideshow on winners/entries
announce winners

GeoCache Coordinator
gather assistants as necessary
map and plan event
create geo-cache locations
present winners

Children's Event Coordinator
design activities (2-3 kids)
solicit helpers
acquire supplies necessary
file for reimbursement from treasurer
provide schedule to chairperson

replace signs as needed
remove signs at end of event

determine desired menu(s)

provide information to chairperson for web input
check off paid participants at meal
Friday meal
Pancake Breakfast (Boy Scouts)
Saturday Meal
pay/tip vendor on site

Raffle/Door Prize Coordinator
solicit door prizes
determine Raffle/Door prizes
order Raffle Prize (if needed)

coordinate transportation of prizes to site

assist in presentation of door prizes

Packet Contents Coordinator
solicit content for packets
coordinate listing of proposed packet contents
coordinate production of challenge lists
get "Introduction Letter" from chairperson
ensure tickets are available for door prizes
ensure badges are ready for packets
collect Challenges & Moon maps
create Satellite Handout
schedule final packet stuffing location & date
Gather boxes & Envelopes for Packets

prepare cans and artwork for door prizes

Badge Coordinator
gather artwork for badge
confirm badge design & content
printing and lamination of badges
deliver badges to packet stuffing
