Group Meeting #2

Postby Colorado Light » April 7th, 2012, 5:57 am

Alright all you astrophotographers - time to set up our next meeting date. My suggestion is to choose between two dates. 1) The Saturday right after our next Astronomy meeting April 28, 6:30pm 2) The following Tuesday after our general CSAS meeting - May 1st 6:30pm.

Please vote for 1 or 2 -- or suggest another date we could pass around. I thought a date right after our CSAS meeting would be a close reminder for others in the CSAS group. If anything works for you please indicate that as well.

Thanks Bryan Gibson

I just checked the calendar. Saturday April 28th is our next public star party at Bear Creek. We probably shouldn't be scheduling anything that night.

The weekend is out for me due to trip to Ohio to visit my parents. Weekends on either side are ok with me. Week days are no good for me since work gets in the way and I have to travel from Franktown to the Springs for the meeting.

I prefer option 2 (Tue after CSAS Monthly Mtg) but can support either option

I prefer the week night (Tuesday) option also, but can make the weekend option. If we choose the weekend option, it can't be on the 28th as that's a public star party night.

AstroPhotography group Meeting #2

Postby Colorado Light » April 20th, 2012, 6:28 am

Ok -- I wish to thank all of you who responded to the meeting date question. It looks like option #2 has the majority vote (especially due to the Star Party conflict with option #1.

Meeting Date and Time: 2) The following Tuesday after our general CSAS meeting - May 1st 6:30pm. Location = LearningRx building, conference room.

If you are hot on a specific topic to cover - please let me know - otherwise I will pick one next week, from the list we made during our first meeting.
My initial thought would be to cover types of photography efforts an recreational astrophotographer could experience and equipment worthy of those efforts to capture what you would like. (i.e. piggy back using *** equipment etc.)

In the least - think of something valuable you may want to share.

Three is also a little push for us, as a group perhaps, to present some type of effort at RMSS. Come with your thoughts on that as well.

Looking forward then to May 1st - Bryan Gibson
