RMSS Update April
April Update:
As of 14 April, we have 19 folks registered so far. (Did you know registration is OPEN?)
WE are to meet with the USFS regarding their land options the end of this month. At least we hope it is the end of this month. They keep contacting Floyd, and changing the date...
USFS - "Which is better for you, April 15th or 17th?"
Floyd - "Either one will work"
USFS - "Ok then , how about April 25??"
We are discussing the possibility of an alternate site in Beulah, CO (southwest of Pueblo, near the foothills) Not much has been done in the land search - still too much snow in the mountains!
Food, porta-potties, tent, has all been arranged. No Boy Scouts this year.
There was a meeting April 13. Floyd, Ron, Brad, Mary, Tom DeClue, Al attended. Tom mentioned he has several folks lined up as speakers - including several from DAS.
Steve B is planning on another geo-caching event this year.
We will begin volunteer signup for manning the registration tent at this month's meeting. Please support the club by volunteering an hour or so of your time!! More on this at this meeting.
The next meeting will be Sunday, May 18th, 12:30PM, BSCS Building. Per Jim Baschal's request, this has been put on the club calendar. Please make a note of it, and plan to attend!

My guess is this is our last year dealing with this BS. With all the hard work that is going into the land search, we will find something.....
For those land deals that haven't worked out so far.....I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Yes, a little of a letdown, but I think the final reward will be something really special.
