Discussions on Astronomy??
Hello, Ive recently signed on to this forum. I've been in Springs about 2.5 years now.
I dont know anyone in CSAS, but was considering joining. I dont have a telescope or anything, but lately I have a growing interest in astronomy and understanding the cosmos.
Obviously, I know CSAS deals alot with observing. But also, I was wondering if during the meetings or during star parties, are there ever general discussions and/or presentations concerning our understanding of the universe as well, such as discussing black holes, big-bang theory, quasars, deep space observations, etc? I find all of this intersting.
Thanks for any input. BTW, I really enjoy the images the members post. Please keep them coming!

There is a lecture series that occurs concurrent with the meetings. The lectures are on various topics, some practical, some etheric. There are often professional astronomers invited to participate.

Thanks Chad. I will have to keep an eye on the lecture topics.
