Elizabeth CO - 4th graders

Postby JimW » September 29th, 2009, 7:51 am

Looking to do a star party on Thur Nov 12. Would be from 6:30 to 8:00.

It is a Thursday and it is in Elizabeth.

Looking to see if maybe we can do a Friday or Saturday instead.

It would be for the 4th grade class (~80 students) + parents + siblings...that's *if* everyone shows up.

Would like to see at least 4 scopes if possible.

Please let me know if you're interested and would you do it on a Thursday or would you rather do it Friday or Saturday.

Thanx!

I plan to help unless I'm away on business travel. Kelsey will likely join me
if her class-load permits. I'll let you know as the date approaches.

I would like to help with this too. Never been to Elizabeth, so that in itself will be an experience. :D

I think I'll have to get a dedicated stool to keep in my car though... LOL... I keep forgetting to bring one to star parties and then my scope is either to high or too low.

Any day is fine for me, so whatever...

ROADTRIP!!!!

Clearsky Clock showing "mostly ok" for viewing. Looks like we will have some sporadic clouds.

...but, we're still on!

Thanks for the update. Kelsey and I will see you and the others there this
evening.

Perhaps we can set up in the area encircled by the front driveway?

Cool!

It's my first time there so I'll let you take the lead since it sounds
like you've been there before. :)

I should be leaving the Springs around 4pm-ish. Will grab grub up there
somewhere then head to the school.

Nope -- first time for me as well. I did one very early this year at a school
in Kiowa, but I've never hosted a SP at this particular facility. I was just
looking at the property from the satellite view in Google Maps, and the spot
I mention *looks* like it will work.

But then coordinators at the school might have other ideas. Let's just use the
typical plan: Wing it! :^)
